WordPress – Delete or Disable Content

How to keep your current site, delete or disable outdated content

  1. Delete old posts (If you choose to disable posts rather than delete, since they take up space in your site, make sure they are absolutely necessary!)

  • Click on the top box of all the posts to select all the posts on this page
  • Click on Posts > All Posts
  • Go to the Dashboard of your blog
  • To delete all, choose Bulk Actions > Move to Trash, then click Apply
  • To keep them as archive for future reference, choose Bulk Actions > Edit, then click Apply

  • In the editing box, change the Status so that all posts will become Drafts.  Then click on Update to confirm

  • Repeat the steps for all the pages of posts that you want to delete or archive

2. Clean out any media gallery pictures or PDF that are outdated in your media library.  As server space is limited and for best practise, we recommend you to use Google Photos for photo upload, and Vimeo or Youtube for video upload.  Cloud computing!

  • Go to the Dashboard of your blog
  • Click on Media
  • Click on Bulk Select and then select the media that you want to delete

  • To delete them, click Delete Selected

Grade 1 – 1:1 iPad Parent Information Session 2017

The 1:1 iPad parent information session went very well on May 11.  Thanks to all the staff and parents attending.  The next step is to order the iPads before May 31.

To purchase the iPads, you will need to register an account on the iPad Purchase Portal (http://www.eduoffer.com) using the student’s school email address which you can find in their Pink Book.

Important information about the iPad programme:

  1. Register an account at the iPad Purchase Portal (http://www.eduoffer.com)
  2. All parents with children going to Gr.1 have to purchase the iPad bundle from the purchase portal by May 31, 2017
  3. To register for a purchase account, you will need to use your child’s school email address which can be found on the student home diary (Pink Book)
  4. Since it’s a transaction between you and Senco, please fill in your personal email address for parent contact address
  5. Your child’s iPad will be set up properly and delivered to their classrooms in August for them to start using for learning

Grade 4 – 1:1 MacBook Parent Information Session 2017

The 1:1 MacBook parent information session went very well on May 9. Thanks to all the staff and parents attending. Here is a link to the slide show that we have presented at the session.

Important information about the MacBook programme:

  1. Register an account at the MacBook Purchase Portal (http://www.eduoffer.com)
  2. All parents with children going to Gr.4 should purchase the MacBook bundle (MacBook+AppleCare+Plastic Cover) from the purchase portal by May 31, 2017.
  3. Pre-owners need to check their MacBook configuration with OneDoor and purchase AppleCare (if within one year old) and plastic cover by May 31, 2017.
  4. To register for a purchase account, you will need to use your child’s school email address which can be found on the student home diary
  5. If your child is a new student and has not been given a school email address, you will have to upload a copy of the child’s school acceptance letter
  6. Since it’s a transaction between you and Senco, please fill in your personal email address for parent contact address
  7. Come with your child on August 11, 2017 to pick up your new MacBook on the Lower School Open House day.
