Setup the Gmail App on iOS

  1. Go to the app store on your device and search for the Gmail app and download it.

  2. When it finishes downloading, press the “open” button.

  3. Sign in with the credential given to you by the school.

  4. After signing in successfully, you’ll see the welcome page.

  5. Scroll down to the bottom of this page and press “I accept, Continue to my account.”

  6. You’ll then be asked to change your password.

  7. Please type in your password twice and press “Change Password”.

  8. After successfully changing your password. you should be able to access your emails.

Change CDNIS Network / System Password

The CDNIS Network / System Password  is used to authenticate into:

  1. The User Identification Portal.
  2. Your Desktop.
  3. The VPN from outside of the school.
  4. AFP Shared drives like Departmental, CDNISShare, TeacherShare, TeacherPublic, YearBook Share.

To change this password:

  1. Go to https://password.cdnis.edu.hk and press change.

  2. Login with your username (Staff/Student Number) and current password.

  3. Type in your current password and the new password that you want.

  4. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and press save.

  5. You’ll see a message on the top right hand corner saying password successfully changed.

  6. Logout.

Use Keka To Create Password Protected Zip Archives

While it’s easy to archive things into a Zip file on your Mac, you may want to occasionally compress things into a different format and password protect the archives.

  1. Launch the Keka application

  2. Click on ZIP
    2

  3. Type in the password (twice)
    3

  4. Select the files/folders that you want to ZIP and drag them into the Keka window
    4

  5. When you see the window change to the Drag-n-Drop window, release the files (mouse button).

  6. A password protected ZIP archive will be created at the same location the files are at.
