Subscribing to CDNIS Calendars directly on your iPhone or iPad

Subscribing directly using the iCal links below means adding the calendar directly to the Calendar app on your Mac or mobile device.

When you subscribe to a calendar directly on your device. The calendar will not be linked to your CDNIS Google Account and you will not be able to view it on your Google Calendar Website.

  1. Visit http://cdnis.edu.hk/
  2. Find the little 3 lines on the right hand corner
  3. Find About CDNIS > Calendar Of Events
  4. Find “Subscribe to the School Calendars” at the bottom of the page, Choose the Calendars that you want to subscribe
  5. Choose “Add(xxx)
  6. Choose “New Calendar…
  7. Type the Calendar name like “Upper School Events” > Choose the color that you like (Remarks: choose different color will be easy to define) > Choose “Done” to finish, it may take few seconds to upload the data to your calendar
  8. Open the Calendar on your device after it finished upload
  9. Choose “Calendars
  10. Choose “Show All Calendars” or the Calendars that you want to show > The events will show up on your calendar

Setup Gmail on an iPhone or iPad

If you want to add your CDNIS Google account to your iPhone or iPad’s system apps, you’ll want to go to Settings > Mail, Calendar, Contacts.

  1. Launch the Settings app from your Home screen.
  2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Tap Add Account.01-add-google-accounts
  4. Tap Google.
  5. Google’s authenticator screen will pop open, where you can enter your CDNIS email address and password. You also may be prompted to change your password, if you’re logging in for the first time.
  6. Tap Allow when prompted with the “iOS would like to…” screen.

  7. Choose the services : Mail, Contacts and Calendars only.
  8. Tap Save.

After you save your account, you can access your settings at any time by tapping the Gmail entry under the Accounts header. If you’d like to change the description from “Gmail” to something more apt like CDNIS, tap the Account button, then tap the Description field.
